Process & Workflow Improvement

The next level of growth runs on repeatable work.

As you grow, work that used to live in a few people’s heads has to live in a process. We map how work actually moves, find where it stalls, and redesign it so ownership, decisions, handoffs, and tools are clear enough for your team to run without you in the middle. We plan for the people side of workflow change, not just the process map.

Sound familiar?

  • The same job gets done differently by each person.
Impact: Quality and turnaround vary by person, and customers notice.
  • Handoffs between teams cause delays and rework.
Impact: Work sits in gaps nobody owns, and jobs take longer than they should.
  • Routine approvals wait on the owner.
Impact: Work stalls when the owner is busy or away, so the business moves at the pace of one person.
  • Key steps live in people’s heads, not in a process.
Impact: When that person is out or leaves, the work slows or stops.

Real Life:

A supplies provider’s team was spending time searching scattered vendor lists or waiting for another department to provide the correct product price. In a fast-paced business, that lost time could cost a deal, so faster pricing meant faster quotes. We mapped how quotes were built, managed the cleaning and consolidation of the product catalog into one easily searchable and updatable source, and designed a pricing lookup app that the client built. We then supported user acceptance testing with the sales team and wrote a plan for keeping the data current. The app lets reps find the right price in seconds instead of hours or days.
